Artist Brian’s Magnificent New Mural in Memory of Aidan

Pictured with Bina & Liam Burke, Artist supreme Brian O'Leary has just completed a truly magnificent new Mural in memory of Aidan Burke. The original Mural attracted the great admiration of many since Brian completed it in 2003. The new creation with its splendid colours and meaningful words has already received much praise. The central image of the sun is so very appropriate in that it symbolises how the wonderfully popular Aidan had brought very real sunlight into the lives of many. Click on the images to enlarge. Let us now view some further images showing the development of Brian’s marvellous Mural over the past few days. An audio recording of Brian as he worked on the creation may be heard on Tuesday, 25th August 2015 at 10.00 p.m. on “Radio Treasures” on www.corkmusicstation.com . The Mural is situated on the front wall of Millstreet Community Gym near the entrance to Millstreet Town Park.

What a touching tribute to Aidan and his family! Also a gift to the town from that young artist with his shy smile and gentle-looking demeanor. Lovely.

Fair play Brian, nice to see a new mural, to a good friend to many of us, and a lost charter to the town of sraid, the man may be gone but the legend lives on, always remember the night I got the call that november11
