A pregnant woman has been sent forward for trial in Limerick Circuit Court in connection with an assault on Cruises Street almost 3 years ago.
23 year old Rachel Casey with an address at The Square, Millstreet, Co Cork is alleged to have assaulted a person with a bottle on Cruises Street on the 8th of June 2007.
Gardaí served her with the Book of Evidence at Limerick District Court today (Thursday 18th March 2010)…

Rachel Casey has been sent for trial on two charges, one of Assault and one of producing an offensive weapon, arising out of an incident on Cruises Street in Limerick city on the 8th of July 2007.
Detective Garda Viv Downey from Henry Street Garda Station served Rahel Casey with the Book of Evidence at Limerick District Court this morning.
Judge Aeneas McCarthy granted free legal aid and issued her the alibi warning meaning she must provide the State with the names and addresses of any potential alibis within 14 days.
She has been remanded on continuing bail to appear before the next sitting of Limerick Circuit Court on the 13th of April.
