Fondest greetings dear listeners and I wish you all the very best on this heavenly Tuesday morning with the sun shining all around.

And I want to wish Our lovely John Paul, at the radio station, a very happy Birthday.

Our Divine Mercy devotions were held in our Parish Church on Sunday afternoon and were very well attended, with many of the congregation taking part as well as the church choir.

A notice from the local branch of Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann to say that their popular annual Feile Ceoil , comprising of competitions in singing dancing ,music , recitation ,and so on, will be held at our Community School on this Sunday Apr 18th ,starting at 12.30 sharp.

The Cullen and District Special Needs Association want to tank all those who helped in any way to make this years event the great success that it was. And are appealing to cards holders to please return all cards and cash as soon as possible.

Further to that they want to mention the Cadbury CSR Pub Quiz which will be held at the Fairfield Bar in Knocknagree on Fri. Apr 23rd , proceeds to the Special Needs fund.

The monthly meeting of the Community Council will be held at the Youth Centre to-night at 8.30

Ballydaly Sports and Leisure committee meeting to-night at 9.

More fun coming up at the Glen Theatre on Friday April 23rd, with Paki O Callaghan and Frank Twomey in ther latest skit,

As this is Enviromental Awareness month ,IRD Duhallow are hosting an information seminar  at the James O Keeffe Institute on Thursday April 29th . It will focus on endangered birds and Wildlife in the Duhallow region.

Also they want to point out that the annual ,National Spring Clean is on .

They request that groups should contact them to register for the months activities,and they will liase with the local authority with regard to the collection of rubbish. Contact them at 029 60633.

Our Gramaphone Circle will hold their next meeting at the Canon O Donovan Centre this Friday night April 16th,starting at 8.15. This meeting will be a tribute to Mary.

Our  Vintage Committee want to thank all those who helped in any way to make their Fun Day  at the Green Glens in aid of the Church Fund he great success that it was. The financial result will be announced as soon as it comes to hand.

Please return your Trocaire Boxes  to the Church as soon as possible.

The AGM of our Turf Co-Op will be held on Thursday night at the Canon O Donovan Centre at 9.

The AGM of LTV2 will be held at the Wallis Arms Hotel on May 4h.

Here  are the results of this weeks parish lotto draw which was held at the Mal Passo Bar on Sunday night. Numbers drawn were, 17, 22, 25, 32 and the Jackpot was not won. €100 went to Tom Quinn, Macroom, the seller was the Millwheel Resturaunt and they got €50 seller’s prize, €50 went to PJ and Joan Creedon,  Cloghoula ,€20 each to  Francis Kelleher, Tooreenbawn, Pat Corkery of Corkery’s Bar, Joan A Kelleher c/o Centra, Paul Sheehan. Millstreet take on New Gaels in the Co. Regional Minor Hurling League in Millstreet on this Saturday evening at 7pm.

Millstreet secured a narrow 1-8 to 0-10 victory over Cullen in the Duhallow Junior B Football League played in Millstreet on Saturday night.

Millstreet hosted the Duhallow U21 Football Championship Final on Saturday evening where Lyre  defeated Boherbue in the presence of a large attendance.

Our  Millstreet Country Park is the place to be in this lovely weather.It’s opened every day with all park facilities up and running Their popular Venison is now being used in  some of Dublin’s best eating places.
