Please give your best attention to the details of the World Class event that will be held at the Green Glens Arena next week. From July 12 to 16th inclusive. It is the World Team Mounted Games Championships with up to twenty countries from all over the world will be taking part.
It’s new to the Green Glens and it is exciting. That is why it is so important that we all play our part in making it a memorable event for all the right reasons. Participating countries include Ireland ,Northern Ireland, France, Belgium, South Africa, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Scotland, England, Wales, Italy, New Zealand .
All those taking part will be installed at the Green Glens on Monday night July11th..Then on Tuesday evening a Grand Parade will be held through the town. It will be very spectacular with Flags and music and colour and well over 100 horses & ponies each parading under their own flag .
The town and approach roads will be decorated in a fashion in keeping with this great world event. Householders and business people are asked to hang out flags and bunting and also that people will come out in large numbers to give a real Millstreet Welcome to all the visiting nations.

For the remainder of the week the Championships will be held at the Green Glens.They are held in a different country every year. And we wish the Championships every success here in Millstreet. Admission is free.

Here are the results of this week’s parish Lotto draw which was held at McCarthy’s Bar on Sunday Night . Numbers drawn were:

I’ve a note from Ballinagree to say that their annual Vintage Day with all the usual attractions will be held on Sunday Aug. 7.
