The much anticipated Parade through Millstreet Town commences this Tuesday evening (12th July) at 6:30 with the 150 ponies and riders from some 20 countries participating in the superbly colourful event. The schedule is as follows:
Ponies leave Green Glens and trot through the town up to the Fair Field where they will then arrange to organise in teams of five taking their place behind Millstreet Pipe Band which will be waiting at the Eurovision Wall in Minor Row.
The Parade then proceeds up Minor Row to The Square where each team will pause in front of the Reviewing Stand which is located on the extended footpath in front of the Wallis Arms Hotel – to be officially welcomed – country by country.
Millstreet Pipe Band will continue to play in The Square as each Team pauses, is introduced and then proceeds down Main Street, down Station Road to the Green Glens Arena where magnificent musical entertainment will be provided by the very famous Liam O’Connor and his truly marvellous Group.
