Mary FitzGerald would like to thank all those who contributed to her Coffee Morning in aid of daffodil Day, which amounted to €1050, and that was in addition to the €2,600 collected around the town on the same day. Well done to all concerned.
Our Transition year Students want to thank all those who helped them to raise €3,000 for Trocaire.
Thanks also from the Burke Family to all those who supported their Church gate collection on behalf of Courtmacherry Lifeboats which amounted to €2,573.94.
A very pleasant function was held at our AIB Bank on Thursday afternoon, at which the €10,000 Better Ireland Award was shared between the lucky recipients. Rathmore National School receiving €5,000, Presentation Convent School Millstreet €3,000 and our local St. Vincent de Paul €2.000. Sean Radley was there representing LTV2.Refreshments were served and a good time was had by all. And on behalf of all the recipients I’d like to say many thanks to all at our AIB Bank for this kind gesture which is repeated every year.
The AGM of the Turf Co-Op was held last week and there was a big increase in the number of people applying for the service. And the turf cutting is now almost complete at Gneeves bog, (again this year by Dubby Twomey).

CUL CAMP
Millstreet Juvenile GAA host their annual VHI Cúl Camp from July 12-16. The camp is open to children aged from 7-13 yrs. The camp runs from 10am and finishes at 2.30pm each day. Completed forms and appropriate fees must be returned by Wednesday May 12.

Millstreet play Rockchapel in the Ducon Cup in Rockchapel on Friday at 7.15pm. On Saturday, Millstreet are away to Na Piarsaigh in the Regional Minor Hurling League at 6pm while on Sunday, Millstreet are home to Banteer in the Junior A Hurling League at 1pm.
Well done to St John’s on defeating Lismire in the Junior B Football League.
