The Millstreet squad celebrating after winning the Saxone Cup at Turner’s Cross on Saturday night following their 4-2 victory (AET) over Glenvale in what was a fantastic final.
A HAT-TRICK – and then a winning fourth goal – from striker supreme Tadhg Collins saw Millstreet Celtic lift the Saxone Cup at the expense of Glenvale in a gripping decider hosted at Turner’s Cross last Saturday evening. Breathtaking and rip-roaring summed up a game laced with entertainment as a great crowed packed into the main stand at the home of Cork soccer. – from the Corkman
Millstreet Celtic gave a brilliant performance on Sat night in Turners X. Winning the Saxone Cup against GlenVale : 4 – 2 in extra time. Tadhg Collins got ‘Man of the match’ for his ‘savage’ contribution. It was an excellent, exciting fast moving contest. The grit, composure & heart shown by the millstreet lads was great. The side line crew got much deserved accolade. The celebrations are reported to be ‘on going’. – by the Wallis Arms on FB 4/May
