A Millstreet student was a winner at the DARE2BDRINKAWARE film awards ceremony in Dublin last week. The young Corkman demonstrated his acting chops in the film, which was called ‘Carpe Noctem’ or ‘seize the night’. Now in its third year, DARE2BDRINKAWARE is a film competition for third-level students, aimed at highlighting young people’s attitudes to alcohol.
Tadgh Curtin was a member of one of the ten teams that were nominated for the awards this year. He was a member of the Tralee IT Film Society team that produced a short film for the competition.
Mr Curtin and his teammates were presented with a certificate of achievement and also had the opportunity to meet Dearbhla Walsh, the acclaimed Irish director who won an Emmy Award last year
